Probably 75% of the service calls I do are to remove viruses from my customer's computers. More accurately these are not viruses, rather they are malware (malicious software) infections designed to steal your personal information. I had long suspected that FaceBook was a source of the infections based on its popularity. I'm not saying FB is the problem, but like anything, the bigger you are the more a target you become.
